Hi 7th grade English students!
Here is a link to 4 Native American story tellers, reading their folktales aloud. Listen to at least two of them and record a summary in your reading log. Be sure to include an opinion. Enjoy!

Hello

Here are the poetry websites. There are 13 poems, each read by a person who really related to the poem in some way. Listen to and read each at least twice to really hear the voice of the reader and the tone of the poem. I need to listen to at least 6 of the 13 and respond in your reading log to each.

For each poem, after your response in your RL, look for the following literary elements in each poem. List at least two examples of each term and tell what poem each example came from.

Alliteration,
rhyme
simile
metaphor
symbol
figurative language

Copy the URL and paste it into the address field then hit enter. You will be able to listen to the poem and print it if you wish.
